JITSI: Jurnal Ilmiah Teknologi Sistem Informasi applies a blind peer-review process to ensure the quality, originality, and academic integrity of every manuscript submitted to the journal.

All submitted manuscripts are reviewed through the following stages:

  1. Initial Editorial Screening
After submission, each manuscript is first evaluated by the editorial team. At this stage, the editors check whether the manuscript: fits the journal’s focus and scope,
follows the journal template and author guidelines,
meets basic academic writing standards, and
is suitable to proceed to the peer-review stage.
Manuscripts that do not meet these basic requirements may be returned to the author for correction before review, or declined at the editorial screening stage.
  2. Blind Peer Review by Reviewers
Manuscripts that pass the initial screening are sent to at least two reviewers with relevant expertise in the subject area. The journal uses a blind peer-review method in order to support an objective and fair evaluation process.
  3. Review Criteria
Reviewers are asked to assess the manuscript based on several academic aspects, including:
    originality and novelty,
    objectivity and clarity of presentation,
    appropriateness of the research method,
    scientific contribution and impact,
    validity of the conclusions, and
    relevance and adequacy of references.
  4. Reviewer Recommendations
Reviewers provide comments, suggestions, and recommendations to help improve the manuscript. Their recommendations are used by the editor in determining whether the manuscript is suitable for publication.
  5. Editorial Decision
The editor makes the final decision after considering the reviewers’ comments and recommendations. Authors will be informed of the editorial decision through the journal system.
  6. Revision Process
If revision is required, authors are asked to revise the manuscript carefully and resubmit the improved version within the time set by the editor. Revised manuscripts may be sent back to the reviewers or checked directly by the editor, depending on the extent of the revisions.
  7. Review Timeline
JITSI aims to complete the review process as efficiently as possible. In normal conditions, the journal seeks to complete the review within approximately four weeks, although the actual time may vary depending on reviewer availability and the revision process.
  8. Final Note
The peer-review process is an essential part of maintaining the scientific quality of the journal. JITSI is committed to conducting the review process fairly, professionally, and objectively for all submissions.
